7th August

Post  rain242 on Sat 04 Aug 2012, 19:37

I'll be coming along and, like I mentioned elsewhere, I now have Infiltration. There's a review here, if you'd like to know more.

Anyone interested?

Ah. Actually, I won't be able to come after all. Turns out I'll be in a youth hostel somewhere in Derbyshire with my parents and nephew. I agreed to this ages ago, but got the dates completely wrong. See you next time...

I will be there tomorrow and will be bringing Game of Thrones. It plays up to 6 and I'll go over the rules tonight.
Anneurin, if you want to play, let me know and I'll just get it set up for when you arrive, in which case I'll also look to bring a short game as well.

If we do delay just bear in mind that we may not finish this until late, if at all.

Ill hopefully bring Mike along again so if you need another 2 players hold off... Otherwise I'll come with some 2 player games... We can sit in a corner together looking over with envious eyes. Anyone got twilight struggle we can borrow?

k. If we have more than 4 we'll get started early otherwise we'll wait and play some fillers. Started reading through the rules.

Looks interesting.

Will bring Navia Drapt with me. Only played it once a while ago. It was a suggestion from Mr Clark at the time. From what I remember it was an interesting take on Chess.

i must of been in denial due to the percieved/real negative impact on my boardgaming life Wink

Its gonna be a girl so i figured it will either be Buffy, Faith, Morgaine (of the Fairies), Tavore (any Steven Erikson fans out there ?) Natasha (aka Black Widow) or just Agent 13 (sharon Carter).................unfortunaltey im not sure Jane is quite as enthusiastic about my list of potential names for her daughter

Did Game of Thrones go ahead? If so, how was it? Looking forward to playing it myself at some point.

I got to play Infiltration on Friday night, which I really enjoyed despite coming third. Still, I did better than the poor guy who was still in the building when the mercs arrived all guns blazing... Smile

Game of Thrones did go ahead but we only really played 3 rounds, I think.

People seemed to enjoy it, I know I did and it played well with 5

Played it again on Friday at Clive's, with 4 players and managed to play 3 complete games in one evening where someone won by turn 4 or 5.

Believe it is a much quicker game with 4 as there are a lot of castles in the south to go for which can give advantage to the Baratheons if the other players let it. You only need to control 7 castles/strongholds to win the game. With 3 a lot of the castles suddenly become unavailable and with 5 and 6 everyone is on top of one another from the get go.

Will be bringing it down to the next club meeting
