Ok, accidentally bought the 5 player version. Anyone else want to join in?

Gotta be honest I'd be worried about how long a five player game would take on a 'proper' campaign Smile

A four player game took 4.5ish hours on the most basic bundled campaign. It's doable faster as you get used things but still that's a bit tight for an evening game - a fifth player would probably add another 45-60min to the playtime I reckon.

To be honest I'd probably have to drop out of the game - I start work at 0830 and can't commit to a midnight (or later) finish.

I'll be in enough trouble finishing at 2300-30 Smile

Well let's do the four player, see how it pans out and possibly extend next time. If 5 player looks like it's going to be a mammoth game, we could trim the goal conditions slightly to hurry things along.

I'm still up for Firefly. I've read the rules and it doesn't look that complicated.

I'm with Dave though, I don't think I'd want to play with 5! You'd be waiting your turn for ages and I don't want to stay much after 11 either. Presumably you can use that other ship in a four player game though Kes? Or does it have to be a fifth player?

I don't see any reason why you can't use the Dodger in a four-player game - supposed to do ship selection at the same time as captain selection anyway Smile

Four's fine. if everyone plans ahead, you can get up to decent speed but the more people that haven't played, the slower it will go.

Alas no, a friend was sending it over from the US but they've been buried in snow for the past couple of weeks so while they have it, it's not yet been sent to the UK :/

When I ordered it you couldn't get it here. Now I could drop £7.50 on it and have it tomorrow. Damn. Smile

Thats good, storage in the US one isn't great - all the bits go in a single cubby in the box. Enough to turn me to foamcore!

Well I was clearly worried about nothing Smile Game last night including setup was more or less bang-on 2.5 hours so another player would have probably added 30-45 min and would still have been just about doable Smile

Fun game though really enjoyed it - although I'm starting to wonder if we need end tables for our player cards!

Yeah, 5 would have been fine. Assuming they already knew the rules etc. I think we kept the length down so well mainly because we all knew the rules and what we were doing (she says casually taking all the credit...)

It was a great game though, I'd happily play it again, which surprises me, as I didn't particularly expect to like it. Next time I'd deifintitley mis-behave more. I don't know what you were all complaining about, it was dead easy Wink.

Between you and Lizzy you burnt through enough misbehaves that I would have skated on all of the requirements on my last turn- every one of them had "Hacking rig" to proceed which I had Smile
