No.... £8.00 seems quite pricey for a day of boardgames in a club to me though. There's not much info about what is going on exactly....??

Yeah, seems to be a turn up and play your own games thing. Not sure why you'd pay to do that. I love a cup of tea as much as anyone, but even I would struggle to get my money's worth out of the free tea and coffee.

Still, kinda curious to know who these guys are, quite tempted to go anyway.

We should consider the free unlimited tea and coffee a challenge / meta-game :-)

The excuse is "to cover the cost of the venue"... seriously are they actually building the venue?
Evan you should have included that we are £1 per annum in your BGG advert Wink

Did you check out the online ticket purchasing? We missed the early bird! It was ONLY £5! Only £5 guys - to play your own board games... what a bargain. Now it's £8... still a bargain at £1 per hour...

According to the tickets 'remaining' they still have space for 53 more people - that alone is funds of £424! Guessing the organiser wants to up his collection a little.

Imagine - paying your £8 and turning up to find people playing Scrabble, Monopoly and Game of Life!
