Hoping to come but there's a possibility that I might have to go to London for the day... so not committing to any food at the moment but will see where the gaps are nearer the time if I can make it!

Done - everyone needs to cancel their votes and start again! Sorry.
Vote for the games you would like to see played! If you can't decide - vote for all of them...

I could be tempted to do some Christmas baking - probably biscuits in a speculaas style and mince pies if I get my act together.

Not familiar with all of the games listed by after reading a few reviews I've voted for the ones I think I'd enjoy playing :-)

I won't REALLY be bringing a plate of chicken bones, Aneurin. I was thinking of bringing something sweet, unless you would prefer I bring a savoury dish?

Think we need more savoury looking at the list... I know Mike is bringing stuff from the Company Shop... I will bring Indian based party bits and maybe pizza... anyone fancy boring old sandwiches?

I've now split the list into savoury and sweet... The club is accepting no liability for inducing diabetes in anyone Wink

Do the SBGC Illuminati have a plan for the tournament?

Kes was telling us about a game of King of Tokyo where you would fight it out in the first game, build up your power ups and what have you, then if you win you pick up your monster and all it's power up cards and take it to the next table with you to play the next round.

Which sounds... well

look, it sounds

Just an idea, we're not gonna do that.
Not certain on the plan. Pitch car is ahead by a hair but the pair of them are far ahead of all the others, so we were planning to do both.
But then, which is the final? Let everyone play either pitch car or KoT and then of the winners, a quick vote between the two? I think that will work the best.
If you have a copy of either game then bring it along if possible please! And food

I think the Ultimate Power Up Edition of KoT is a great idea, but in this situation it'd get all the copies of KoT mixed up and it'd be a massive pain in the ass. I do wanna try it though. Some other time.

Do we need an overall winner? We were going to give out two prizes weren't we? So we could give one out for KoT and one for Pitchcar.

Agree on the mixed set nightmare.

We currently have £27 in the kitty... with the £1 entry to the competition we might expect to hit £40-£50 total... so hopefully £10 prize for food and was going to split the rest (not an even ratio) for a winner and runner up...

I'm still leaning towards having a RAMPAGE final with top two from both KoT and Pitchar making the four. This then encompasses the top 3 games in the list

Rampage is a lot lower than the others. Pitch car has pulled ahead a little since last night, I think Sam has scared people off. Now it has double rampage's total. Also if we had two games of pitch car and three KoT or something like that, we couldn't have a rampage final.

I'm not sure it's exactly "fair" to make Rampage the headline game when (relatively) few people have voted for it (and I say that as a big fan of the game)

I think I agree with Lizzy - If we're going to have two separate game threads (PitchCar and King of Tokyo) then simply have one prize each for the overall winner of each game.

But then it will be two completely separate things - where is the joining in things together,  the mixing of parties to spice things up? Why would I care what the KoT people are doing if I'm playing Pitchcar?

Maybe I wanna know who is winning at KoT so I know who I'll be facing later on?

To me that's the point.. it's either 1 game for everything or mixed games where the top 2 or 3 from each come together for a big showdown... The showdown game shouldn't be one of the already played games (that seems unfair)... It also shouldn't be a game where 'knowing' the game will help... That's why these luck and dexterity games work well in this setting. I just saw Rampage as a good showdown game that everyone would also enjoy watching...

And hav a good giggle at the same time as someone spite all over the meeples...

Pitchcar it is then Razz

We could annoy everyone and insist on using the sound system for endless games of one night silent
