I really enjoyed playing 'Pick a Pig' last night and would like to get a copy of my own (Pig or Dog or both). Does anyone know where I could buy a cheap (inc. lost cost postage) copy?

GamesLore have Pick a Dog for £9.24 including postage...

I actually ended up with a bit of tech that gave me a power for most of the second game. As it happened, neither power was particularly "disruptive" but I can imagine situations where a particular combination of powers could be incredible!

This is the problem with power type games - heroes wanted is the same. You can luck out on a fantastic combo and just walk the game...

I agree to some extent but, in Cosmic Encounter at least, there is such a lot of player interaction that I think it self-balances. If someone ends up with an awesome combination then they're going to find it very hard to get allies and there are enough items/cards that change or stop powers that I think it would be unusual to have a walkover situation there. However, I haven't played enough (yet) to really be sure...

Heroes Wanted is a bit more of a 'race' (first to hit certain achievements) and the player interaction is a bit more limited (if I remember right you *can* attack other players but we didn't do this much?) so I guess I could see it a bit more there. But I'd still play it again :-)

Certainly the player interaction helps - would be interesting to play a cut throat game of Heroes Wanted. Think we know what we are playing next week Wink. I wonder whether the problem is theme with heroes wanted - it feels so wrong to not go after the villain! Suspect
