Eclipse cancelled. Will arrange for some other time. Hope to turn up, with some lighter games.

I'll be there! Will bring some of my new games. Anyone want to pretend they work in a robot factory (Robots on the Line)? Maybe Terra Mystica too (with expansions) if anyone fancies a go at that!

Th 5th is my birthday but as much as I'd love to enjoy spending the whole day playing games, Jess and my family have other ideas. Sorry, have fun!

Sorry folks, think I'm going to call off Eclipse. As much as I love the game, it's probably going to be a bit excessive playing it after TI3 on the Saturday. Will arrange a Tuesday evening game soonish...

I'll bring it along, just in case, don't imagine it will get played though. Will bring some lighter games too.

I'll be in Norfolk. Apparently I'm not allowed to bail on family holidays to play board games, which I think must be a violation of my human rights. Play something long and complicated for me!

Excellent, that should work! As long as we can find at least one other person then we're grand. Actually, I'd say that TM is probably best with 3, alright with 4, and too long with 5. So a "smallish" game would work quite nicely.

Erm, I'm not sure I'd go as far as to call it 'lightweight' (I know you said *relatively* lightweight, but still). But I really, really like it! It's mostly a resource management game but with elements of area control, a smattering of worker placement (of sorts - one-person-per-round actions anyway) and some victory point salad on the side :-)

Of course. I mean't relatively to Twilight Imperium! Smile

I'm guessing the play time for Terra Mystica is maybe 3 hours or less? It looks really good, from what I've seen, videos and such link on BGG, where it's Board Game and Strategy Game ranked number 2 (not sure that means much though, as I really wasn't a fan of the Strategy Game ranked number 3).

Yeah, it's rated at 30 minutes per player. Hence why I prefer it at 3 players :-) I reckon we'll need about 20 mins of rules explanation and then maybe 2 hours as you haven't played before.

Would anybody like to play either Fire In The Lake or A Distant Plain. 4 players required, so me + 3 more or me and you + 2 more.

I may reluctantly skip this one. It's the last day my Australian relatives are in town and I'd like to spend some time with them. Might come by in the evening for a quickie.

Have you played Neuroshima Hex, Sam? Just picked it up recently and thought it might be your kind of thing as it's a bit Summoner Wars ish. At 30 mins it probably counts as a quickie too Smile

Only against AI on the iPad so far. But it seemed like a good time to pick up the physical game with the 3.0 version. I'll probably bring it on Sunday.
