I presume this si from Gencon... https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/180564/carcassonne-star-wars

I haven't really had my finger on the pulse regarding Gen Con releases. Stronghold are releasing a new version of Survive, set in space and Portal are launching Rattle, Battle, Grab the Loot, but I've mostly just been sulking about how much it would cost me to get to Indianapolis next year if I wanted to attend.

Hoping to hear some more info about the Fury of Dracula do-over that's coming later this year but other than that mostly hoping not to get tempted by other stuff - I'm trying to ease off on buying new shit til I've played some of the stuff I've bought in the past couple of months Smile

I saw a brief video demoing the new Portal boardgame. I was underwhelmed.

You seen the expansion for Colt Express?

My interests - Imperial Assault - Return to Hoth (and associated figures); Flick'em Up; Colt Express Stagecoach; Tiny Epic West

Should be enough to keep me occupied until Christmas...

I'm really interested in the Colt  Express expansion, looks like a lot of fun. I'm relying on DaveB or Lizzy to buy it as soon as it's released. Don't let me down guys...

Yep, I'm interested in all of the above Smile

Maybe one for Dave - did you see that Plaid Hat have announced they're working on helper apps for both Dead of Winter and Specter Ops? I can see that being particularly nice for the latter (it's to replace the pad of paper). Btw, we should play Specter Ops again soon Smile

I'd heard about the Dead of Winter one but not Specter Ops. That definitely has potential Smile

I'd like to play again soon - we got a couple of rules wrong the other time that makes life easier for the hunters...

Perhaps Week on Tuesday? Hell could even do a Plaid Hat double and do Dead of Winter too Smile

Yep! I've still not played Dead of Winter so the double sounds good to me.

If that's the rather rubbish film from many years ago, that's a random bit of IP. Did it get to be a cult classic while I wasn't paying attention?

Much like "The Princess Bride" "Big Trouble in Little China" very much found it's audience on the home video markets...

It's been considered a cult classic for *many* years now

Princess Bride is over-rated.

It's no Goonies or Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Yeah, massive. I got the big roll-up map and I had to check that my table was going to be big enough for it!
