Lets meet at the MULBERRY TAVERN again. Opinion seemed split almost 50/50 about the venue; parking, soft drinks and music being a big issues. I spoke to Fee at the end of the night and she said it was a leaving party so it may change (worth another few nights to see)... plus the boards are there, plenty of space and Fee has offered to do us some sandwiches. I can't solve the parking but if you have any soft drink requests I can forward those to Fee and see what we can do.

I'm not saying its our new 'home' just that lets use it as a base until we have gathered everyone's thoughts and ideas. It will be impossible for any pub to please everyone's wants/needs so please try and be accommodating at this time. Let us know your views here http://www.sheffieldboardgamers.com/t674-new-venue-discussion-mulberry-tavern-others

As for gaming - can we try and get Tigris & Eurphrates played Tom? Anyone else? Plays 4...

Tigris Table

1- Aneurin
2- Tom

I won't be coming for a little while. Getting dangerously close to the baby's due date now! Next time you see me I'll probably be a Dad. (Shit!) I'll probably be floating around the forums though.

See you all soon(ish)

Ditto! Good luck Steve. Smile

Oh oh, Spector Ops! What time are you playing it Dave, and how long does it normally go on for? Want to play, but people usually make me play Avalon around 10:30...

Also, another question for anyone who was there last night, what time did you get kicked out?

Question 1) depends on what order we do them in - be either about 7:30 or about 9:30 at a guess. as for Q2) - how long is a piece of string? Depends a lot on how much time the hunters spend arguing debating each turn Smile

I can't speak for last night (as I left at 10) but when I asked Fee about this at the weekend she said that the 'official' closing time is 11, but she wouldn't kick us out mid game or anything and was happy for us to stay until midnight. If we wanted to do some later ones (e.g. to 2am) then she'd be ok with that if we let her know in advance. The licence is until 6am.

I left just before 11pm - but Fee's son said he wouldn't kick anyone out...

Okay, well, if you want to start Spectre Ops first, please put me down for that; otherwise, I think I'll chance it and see what happens on the night. Smile

If there is still space I'd love to fill a spot on this. Dead of winter is a great game but doesn't see the table nearly enough and just bought specter ops so be great to have an understanding of the game before I have to teach it!

Slight change of plan, Paul wants to try out Power Grid so there will be a little variance in the games...

Specter Ops
1,DaveB
2,PaulG
3,Jamie
4,Evan
5,Wired

Dead of Winter
1,Dave
2,PaulG
3,Evan
4,Wired
5,Paul

If anyone wants to do some homework:
Dead of Winter Rules
Dead of Winter FAQ
Specter Ops Rules
Specter Ops FAQ

Both of these can be a little long so we'll want to get started as close to 1900 as possible...

I have now remembered why Nat allowed me to go to 'The Cast are Dice' for all day gaming in Stoke on Saturday; she is in London on Tuesday. Not back until late so I'm on child duty and can't make it down Sad.

Tom C - Our Tigris game will have to wait unless you fancy a trip to the wilds of Deepcar.

Next week we'll definitely play it.

In the meantime, does anyone fancy La Granja?
