Re: Tuesday 19th January

Massive thanks to everyone who generously volunteered to playtest The Path to Panic this week, and subsequent tremendous apologies. I picked up a rather unpleasant bug at the weekend and although I'd hoped it'd be mostly cleared up by Tuesday, as ill as I feel now (Monday night) it is highly unlikely I will be attending tomorrow. At this point I plan to bring The Path to Panic for playtesting on the 26th instead, although I'll not say so for definite until I feel 100% fine; I don't want people to volunterr only for me to flake out on them again. Once again, very sorry, I hope everyone has a fun time gaming.

-Andy

Andy, sorry to hear that and hope you feel better soon. I'll throw a couple of games in the bag as an alternative.

We have one space available for Hoyuk, but not two, I'm afraid.
However, since the Path to Panic had been temporarily diverted, I suspect there will be a lot of ad hoc gaming tonight.

Hi Karl,

Yeah, can do. I'll also stick One Night Resistance in the bag, and Avalon (just in case). Haven't played Avalon all year...

Think I'll leave Archipelago at home though; not been feeling too great recently and don't fancy anything too heavy.

Cheers,
Jamie

How was Two Rooms and a Boom?

From the outside looking in, the game seemed to involve a group of people standing around looking awkwardly bemused until an excited person rushes in and shouts "10 seconds!" at which point a minor scuffle breaks out and someone leaves to be replaced by another awkwardly bemused person.

I'm sure it was a lot more exciting than that - wasn't it?

I thought it was a lot of fun Paul. Pretty quick games too, maybe 10 minutes a game.

There are loads of different special roles too; for example, we used the 'hot potato' role last night. If you're the hot potato and you colour or card share with another player; you have to swap cards with them, and whoever has the hot potato at the end of the game, loses (the hot potato loss is concurrent with the red / blue team loss / win). Must look a bit mad from the outside though!
