SATURDAY Session 7th Jan @ The Red Deer
The January Sunday Session would be the 1st Jan.
Who could make that?
I can make it, but if it's going to be difficult for many people then we can move/cancel it.

I'll be driving to London that day, so wouldn't be able to make it. I could probably do the 8th though.Lizzy wrote:The January Sunday Session would be the 1st Jan.

8th would be better for me, too.

I could make it because I have a rubbish social life and hate going out on New Year's anyway, but a switch to the 8th sounds sensible.

The 8th isn't available. They can do Saturday 7th or leave it as it is.

Re: SATURDAY Session 7th Jan @ The Red Deer
I'll be there. Now just need someone to pitch a game for me to play.
I did find out on Tuesday that I didn't really know who Stephen Feld is or what he has designed, so to make amends I feel I should play Castles of Burgandy, or Bruges, or perhaps Pillars of the Earth.
I've also found out a bit about Sid Sackson this week -- superstar game designer long before anyone had heard of a "eurogame", famed collector of some 18,000 games, and apparently also an excellent dancer. So if anyone has a dusty copy of Acquire, I'm The Boss, Buyword, Can't Stop, or Bazaar hiding in the back of a closet, I would love to play it.
But, as always, I'll play anything

I might pop down for a bit. Would anyone be interested in playtesting a game I'm working on? A short 4 player tile layer dungeon crawler type thing?
Also happy to jump onto a game of anything else

Re: SATURDAY Session 7th Jan @ The Red Deer
I can bring Pillars of the Earth, Sam but I don't think it's a Feld game?
Also, Mechs vs Minions turned up today
Short tile laying dungeon game sounds right up my alley Rich.

Whoops! ...uh, I mean, obviously I meant The Pillars of the Earth: Builders Duel.

Re: SATURDAY Session 7th Jan @ The Red Deer
I've got lots of Feld games if you find you like him and want to play some more:
- Amerigo (one of his heavier games about island exploration and exploitation)
- Aquasphere (do science in an undersea laboratory whilst fighting off squid)
- Bruges (do some trading in Bruges)
- The Castles of Burgundy (develop your land through an excellent dice-based action mechanism)
- La Isla (study species on an uncharted island with a fiendish action selection mechanism)
- Notre Dame (advance the status of your family, donate money to the church, try to avoid being overrun by plague)

Aquasphere sounds and looks really neat.
Great! I'll bring it along.

I'll play a dungeon crawler. Probably only worth me playing if you are interested in honest critique because I can be brutal
