First meeting of 2017! Get your £2 dues ready for the year. Karl or myself will collect. And rejoice in all the new games that will be available to play. Not even Christmas and I have Cavern Tavern, El Grande Big Box, Time Stories and Cottage Garden on my newly acquired pile.

So for the first meeting I wanna try El Grande big box.

Starting a year with Catan feels apt. I'll take a place, Kes.

We have 4 for catan but I do have the extension so if more want to play, we have two more slots. Can slow it down though

Can I join New Angeles?

Excellent! I think I'm tempted to cap New Angeles at 5 players, as I've heard it can go a bit long with 6 (particularly as we're all new to it).

The mechanics are not overly complex (it all comes down to the deals) so I'm happy to go through the rules on the night. If anyone wants to read up in advance then the 'Learn to Play' guide is here:

Think I will bring down Champions of Midguard, open to play others too though.

I'll bring a couple of unplayed games down, probably Great Western Trail and some lighter games.

I need to work on my upper body strength before I try to bring Mechs vs Minions along.

New Angeles players! I'm very sorry, but I'm going to have to miss tomorrow night. Kat has turned over her ankle quite badly so I need to stay home and look after her. I'll endeavour to bring New Angeles to another session very soon...

Fully expanded Tzolk'in with tribes and prophecies? Last chance if anyone is interested - it ships out on Wed, trading it for Kanban.
