New club game....
Still waiting on word from Craig about how much he has in the kitty - but I have amassed £32 in his absense anyway so we should probably start thinking about purchasing a new club game, especially with Essen starting tomorrow - there could be some good stuff coming out! Make your suggestions here and then I'll open a poll...

Also... really enjoyed 7 WONDERS last night (and not just because I won!).... that would definately be a good game for the club.

Re: New club game....
I enjoyed Chaos Marauders on Friday night (although, full disclosure, I won by a pretty large margin). Leisure Games is offering it for £13 at the moment, too. Here's a review.
Last time we were discussing new purchases, Airlines Europe, Bloodbowl Team Manager*, Road Kill Rally and Talisman all got multiple votes (so did Tsuro, but I've since bought it), so it might be worth adding those for consideration,
There's a new version of Dixit out - Dixit: Journey, which seems to be more of the same, but that's a good thing in my eyes.
And do we really not have any version of Ticket to Ride yet? That seems like an oversight...
*I think Keith owns this. Certainly, someone brought it along relatively recently.

Re: New club game....
instead of buying Dixit i could give you some crayons and some paper and you could draw your own pictures and spend the money on something good
for those of you who dont know Dixit is about the only game i hate, it is to boardgames what butter beans are to a meal....... just plain wrong

I've got a copy of Ticket to Ride, which I'll bring along.
We can also talk about the next club purchases as we have enough money again.
As always, once discussed I'll put up a vote and then sort out buying it. Depending on what is ordered we may be able to pick up more than one but will see.

Re: New club game....
Right, with the money we collected from Tuesday we have approximately £70 (I'll count it up and put the exact amount up over the weekend. Some of that will be used to buy two new boards but that will leave pleanty for at least one new game, if not two.
So, as well as the suggestions currently made, let me know if there are any others. I'll compile them into a new voting post on Sunday and let it run as I've done previously.
Thanks
Craig

Wow. Dixit is pretty much the only game I've managed to get non-gamers into. That's a pretty big plus point to me and I've had a lot of fun with it.jonnyboy wrote:Dixit is about the only game i hate, it is to boardgames what butter beans are to a meal....... just plain wrong![]()
Out of all the people I've played it with, you're the only person I've come across that dislikes it.

Re: New club game....
We don't have any of the 18XX games in the club to my knowledge.

Cosmic is amazing. I own a copy so it would be easy for you to try it out beforehand.

Re: New club game....
I've got cosmic encounter and the first expansion. I'll pick it up next time I'm at my mum's.
