Hello to everyone!

Hello all!

I was wondering if there's an opportunity to meet people outside of the regular club meets as I have commitments on a Tuesday and have always managed to miss the Sunday meets! I'd love to come down and meet a whole bunch of you but failing that I presume people meet up on an ad hoc basis and play?

I have a group of friends who I play games with but due to time/player count/enthusiasm/salty losers I don't get my meatier games to the table very often so I'd love to find some people to play these with.
These are the games that don't make it to the table these days:
Agricola (my favourite game)
Caverna
Le Havre
Terra Mystica
Star Wars Rebellion
Imperial Assault
X-Wing - total beginner but can't convince friends to play

I'm up for playing most games but miss getting regular play of the heavier ones!

I approve of your choice of location (I live in Greenhill)

If you want to play something *very* meaty then we organise all-day games of Twilight Imperium 3 in Greenhill every few months. Watch out on the forum for details!

I could probably do Saturday evening, but would have to be at my place as I'll be on "chicken duty". I'm in Ridgeway, so not too far away from you.

A couple of us at the club play X-Wing. There's a group that plays at Patriot Games on Wednesday evenings at the moment, if you want to learn that'd be a good place to start. There are people there with a whole range of experience and you'd be very welcome. I'd certainly be happy to give you a game sometime.

But it's just so much fun!

I can do Saturday evening at yours, Paul, assuming I can fix my bike up okay (I don't drive). It's currently in bits due to "maintenance" and "reasons".

Lizzy - that would be good! I've had it a couple of months and not managed many games so I'm pretty keen. Maybe I'll try the Wednesday x-wing at Patriot. Is it organised in any way or should I just turn up?

It's pretty informal. They're running a league at the moment so people will be playing games for that, but they'll play friendly matches as well. I've not joined the league yet so I can always give you a game. Can you make next Wednesday?

Hey Lizzy. Doesn't look like I will make it down tomorrow but I'm definitely up for a schooling at some point soon!
