Re: Tuesday 19th December - SBGC Xmas Party
Yes there will be time for many a good game at the party. I'll bring some of my lighter party style games to enjoy after Pitchcar. But particularly looking forward to Santalon hosted by our own KarlB.
Food will be served at 7.45pm.
Pitchcar Tournament will start early doors. 4 heats and 1 final. Prizes for everyone in the final... but no guarantees that the prize will be wanted for valuable.

Re: Tuesday 19th December - SBGC Xmas Party
Rest of my message went missing -
1st prize will be £30 patriot games voucher - so all to play/race for.
I will bring a red sack to place secret Santa presents. These will he given out later in the evening - after the food and stuff. Is anyone willing to dress as Santa Claus?
Talking of dressing up - don't forget the board game inspired fancy dress. We have had some excellent entires over the years. Previous winners include Jen's Morgana/Merlin (Avalon) and Kes' MechaDragon (KoT). The grand prize is £20 Patriot vouchers so no skimping. And also Pfister of Great Western Trail fame has agreed to judge the competition. So dress to impress.

I'll be there a little after 1800, my wife also. Will bring some light games for the evening.
Re: Tuesday 19th December - SBGC Xmas Party
I'll be there at 5 too. I'll bring some light games (should hopefully have just been to pick up the 6 player expansion to Flamme Rouge from Patriot).

I'm also going to bring Flipships, to keep in line with the traditional Christmas dexterity theme.

I'd already agreed with Aneurin that he could play, so assuming that the expansion arrives:
1. Karl
2. Aneurin
3. Ian
4. Liz
5. Paul C
6.
Scott - I'd really like to give the ice hockey game a go later in the night, if you're still planning to bring it?

Can I take the last spot please? I've seen it being played quite a few times now, wouldn't mind giving it a try.karl_b wrote:I'd already agreed with Aneurin that he could play, so assuming that the expansion arrives:

Yes, absolutely - I had great fun, and thanks Santa for Superhot, been wanting to give that a spin!

Yes thank you to all for making it such a great party. Any feedback for next year appreciated... I thought it all went really well. There seemed to be plenty of food and fun had with the various games. PitchCar caused for great reactions... and that's down to the great community we have built. Well done to Arun on his win... and I look forward to finding out who'll take the spoon off PaulyG next year!
As many of you know - I'll be taking a bit more of a back seat now I'll be working in York. You will still see my face occasionally - plenty of campaign games to finish - maybe once per month. But otherwise I'll be organising the Wednesday sessions to be held up in Stocksbridge... So if you fancy a heave euro - don't forget to check out that meeting.
It's been a pleasure playing...
P.S. We picked up some black gloves in the room last night... anyone missing some? They look a fairly decent pair of mittens... they have magnets to keep them together...
Re: Tuesday 19th December - SBGC Xmas Party
Great fun, thanks all. PitchCar and Santalon are essential Christmas traditions for me now; Flamme Rouge is quite different with 6 players but still excellent; Stiga (?) Ice hockey is amazing, loved it, thanks Scott.
Thanks to my not-so-secret Santa, a game about architecting and building over car parks in Ancient Egypt. Looking forward to getting stuck in.
Thanks to everyone for supporting the club and making it a lot of fun this year. Merry Christmas, see you all in January!

Yes, thanks all, it was tremendously entertaining! Had a great time, particularly playing Stiga, thanks Scott for bringing that! Also enjoyed Pitchcar despite going out in the heat - maybe next year...
