I floated the suggestion of playing Spirit Island last week and it sounded like there was some interest if anyone would like to join this week? Plays four so room for three more? Can't remember who said they were interested last week...

Eurgh, another week, another missed gaming opportunity. Sorry guys, I now won't be able to make it but let's play Outlive again soon and I'm definitely up for more Spirit Island in the coming months (loved my first two play throughs, even with some minor rule errors).

Sorry to hear that Karl, that one has been on my list a while so definitely up for trying it in the future...

Ian, Paul any thoughts on stuff to play? Any interest in trying Fallout maybe? To stick with a post-apocalyptic theme will bring Tiny Epic Zombies too

Second time playing Fallout and still doesn't feel quite right to me - There are some great ideas in there but just doesn't hang together for me. One for the sale pile I think...

Yeah it was ok. Had the potential to be good but just didn't get there.
Bloody long too

However I think I would give it one more go. But then would need more variance on the encounter cards.

Yeah, that did run very long which was also an issue - nbever a good sign when it's a relief someone has won!

That's a shame, what a great backdrop and theme for a game.

There are a bunch of fan-made scoring changes that claim to address a number of the issues I had with the game but I've not tried any of them as yet.

I will say that in its current state I suspect it would play really well in solo mode - some of the design decisions don't really make sense in a competitive format.

It does give great theme though!
