Tuesday 5 February
I'll be running Baseball Highlights pre-season friendlies again, ahead of the season starting on the 19th. We'll be playing short series so plenty of games and variety. I'd like to keep spaces available for competition participants but if we get an even number of players we can accommodate up to 8 at once, so room for others to join in. Depending on numbers we can run a small tournament format for the evening.

Does anybody want to play The Quacks of Quedlinburg? Plays 4, should take about an hour.

Me! I'm up for some Quack!
If I really like it, do you think I'll become a Quack addict?

Now that's a game I'm always happy to play! Are you bringing it or shall I?RikTheChief wrote:BeardyTom wrote:RikTheChief wrote:Does anybody want to play The Quacks of Quedlinburg? Plays 4, should take about an hour.

I'll bring it if you want. I saw it at the weekend and I haven't played it for ages.
Re: Tuesday 5 February
I'm posting a little late for this evening perhaps, but I promised last year that I'd run a game of Argent: The Consortium at some point this year. I could take four more tonight if there was interest?
For the uninitiated, it's an easy-to-learn, very-complex-to-play worker placement game about competing to become the next chancellor of wizarding university Argent. Art style is highly anime, which might not appeal to some, but it's the only game in my 7 years there that my last board gaming club enjoyed so much that we played it three weeks in a row.
Complexity lies in that you're given like 30 options of things to do every turn and they all seem like a priority, so you have to find some way of choosing the best 3-5 things. Oh and your workers will likely not get to do the thing you needed them to because someone's errant fireball will roast half of them and they'll be stuck in the infirmary for the round. It's a chaotic, brain-burning, game of pain.

Hey Owen, I'll be down tonight, if you do end up playing Argent I'd love to join in. I'll try and go over the rules later.
