Tuesday 3rd September
We may need rattle the tin and do another membership fund push... the costs of running the forum and having our own URL (now secured) have increased (significantly). KarlB will update the kitty this week but I think it is now pretty much £0... which doesn't leave us much for the Christmas Party. So dig deep people and help support us. Extra donations always welcome. Either myself, Karlb, Lizzy, Kes, PaulyG or PaulC can collect.
I'll be showing my face next week...
Also the gaming sessions in Stocksbridge have moved to a Thursday. Come along and play some games there to.

PaulC and I are playing "Whitehall Mysteries" this week - its a streamlined iteration of "Letters from Whitechapel" - a hidden movement game in which one player is Jack the Ripper, while the others are playing the Coppers that are trying to catch him.

Any way to donate electronically, via paypal or BT ?.. I'll happily donate a few £s, but not entirely sure when I can get to the club at the moment...

If Needs be (and if you're willing to trust me of course) I'm happy to be a go-between

Sounds a bit like the original Fury of Dracula, so very keen to have ago at this if there's still space

It's... similar to Fury of Dracula - although there are some pretty significant changes:
1) there is no combat - if you manage to nab Jack its game over
2) the time limit works against Jack, not the hunters
3) the card-based movement system (which I always found rather clunky in FoD) isn't present
As an aside, I've got the 3rd edition of FoD at home and not played in a while - if you fancy a game of that some other time I'd definitely be up for it!

either way, welcome to the game! FYI Paul will be a little late (between 1930 and 2000)

If the costs are rising. Is it worth considering an increase in annual membership next year?
£2 is exceptionally good value. Even a raise to £3 shouldn't hopefully break the bank or put off new members
Or by suggesting that am I going to get shouted at?

If costs are going up its only reasonable that we either a) trim costs elsewhere or b) raise the bills a bit.
Personally I agree - £2/year is stupidly good value and I'd have no objection at all to raising it up a notch.
Re: Tuesday 3rd September
I am curious.
How many active members do we actually have?

Its not completely up to date, but the post in the members area lists 33 supports for 2019.
