I had bought Pandemic as a birthday present for my 10 year niece - clearly with all the Coronavirus stuff probably not a good idea.

So any alternative suggestions for a 10 years old - if possible something co-op - liked the idea of showing a different side to board gaming but not essential

Forbidden Island or Forbidden Desert maybe? both by the same guy that designed Pandemic and both solid co-op games. Wouldn't recommend the most recent one though (Forbidden Sky) - wasn't hugely impressed by that one.

Alternatively, Flash Point: Fire Rescue is mechanically similar to Pandemic but with a different theme (firefighters rescuing people from a burning building).

but feel need to be a bit more sensible
