Back when I first bought my iPad the game Small World was high on the list of suggested software (along with Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride). I had a look and passed on it for the simple fact that the iOS version was very cut down from the boardgame - limited number of players and local MP only.
Anyway, reason for the (boring) history lesson is they have -just- updated the game to version 2 following a successful (albeit controversial) kickstarter and I have to say its pretty damn good
if anyone picks it and wants a game let me know

Mmmm think you sent an invite thru but doesn't seem to be happening, do I have to create a small world account or can I just use Game Center ?
