BGG Secret Santa
BGG Secret Santa just dropped off a parcel for me - he sent me Quantum! (I know, I shouldn't have opened it, but I promise not to play it before Christmas!)
Did anyone else participate this year?

Me... Still waiting to see if I have been classed as Nice this year. However, I can't complain as I'm yet to organise a game for my Santee.

Sweden. Haven't made a final decision on pressies yet, but it will probably include bohnanza.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's how the BGG Secret Santa works, dear.

Re: BGG Secret Santa
Well after finally hearing from my target - he suggested that his wish list was really just games 'he' wanted to buy and as he had only recently started gaming he was happy for someone with experience to select a game he might like (not necessarily on his list) as he didn't really know what was good. Bit of an open brief - but then he did mention he only plays games with his kids (3 and 8 ) and their friends. The 8 year old is apparently heavily into x-wing so the obvious would be extra ships for that.
Obvious and boring... This is secret Santa. Needs to be fun and unusual.
I wanted to get something they could all enjoy together - checked his owned list and Rampage/terror in meeple City was already on it. Bugger. He had scored it 9 though so thought dexterity was the way to go. Therefore decided on PitchCar - which is quite rare in the states being a French game. Cost me a bit more than I was expecting but decided to be Christen and stump up the extra. Gift wrapped etc.
It's now winging its way from Orlando to California. Hope they all like it and I don't get banned for not getting something on a wish list!
Still not heard from my Santa... Although have a package to pick up tomorrow that was sent special delivery... Could be Santa... But then also waiting on Daybreak and Roar-o-Saurus. Excitement building for all 3... It'll probably turn out to be a national trust magazine!

Re: BGG Secret Santa
I've sent my target his copy of bohnanza, as well as expansions for pillars of the gods and timeline.
My own Santa died of Ebola before rising as a zombie to terrify his daughter, little santie. I think this is better than the completely silent santa who sent me space cadets dice duel last year. Will reserve judgement until the gift arrives.

Still nothing here... Maybe the Ebola problem is bigger than the Press are letting on!
