The Great Escape on Halloween
You are trapped in a room with 5 others. Solve mysteries and puzzles or FACE DEATH. A cross between Professor Layton and Saw, come escape the locked room challenge!
I have 2 rooms booked at 7pm (optical illusions) and 7:30pm (Homocide). We'll meet up at 6pm at the Mexican Street Food Chef for noms and draw lots to see who goes into which room.
It'ld end at 8:15pm latest.
Post if you wanna try

I've already got something on, otherwise I'd be there in a shot... if anybody else fancies putting a team together to have a go at one of these sheffield based escape rooms sometime let me know and I'll try and organise something!

Like Scott, I'd love to have a go at these but I have something else on this weekend.

How was this? Is it fun? Is it super hard and clautrophobic or just slightly challenging puzzle solving? Review please as I'd love to do it sometime if it's good and not scary....

HELLO!
Yes, it is fun indeed, especially if you go on themed nights (eg Halloween) as they have actors and enhance the experience.
General tips: LOOK EVERYWHERE. All pockets, all surfaces, over and under trunks, cupboards, shelves, floor corners, skirting boards, EVERYWHERE. Playing with 4ish people seems optimum otherwise some folks will be stood there not knowing what to do. There are 4 number combo locks everywhere, guessing the codes takes forever & hasn't yielded results for us... Bring someone with an excellent photographic memory. There are a number of superpowers you can be given. One is the fortune teller in which they give a book of photos, half red herrings, half clues. Train your mental arithmetic. There is a lot of adding and subtracting to do. Prepare to yell. And have fun

There are 4 rooms:
Mad Scientists: Easiest and most basic room but we did not escape this...
Homocide: It is actually a creepy room, mainly because of the sounds of people screaming in pain and fear from other rooms, sounded realistic and I'm not sure where those sounds came from!
Placebo: My favourite. Visually stunning. Unless you have epilepsy.
Alcatraz: Hardest room. Look everywhere, overturn everything, go with all clues, any clues.
Gona attack "Crack The Code" (another one of these in the city centre) now
