I too think it is easy to imitate, but the stretch goals are adding more and more cards, better quality components, and an expansion (which I have no idea what it is)
Cool - I've backed it for 8 copies with no additional box sleeves - I can amend as necessary until the deadline.

Bah, now I'm sad that we haven't got to 25 copies to get the free one! ;-)

I can't do anything about the book, metal plate or box insert, but if you hold the normal sized cards closer to your face they'll look like super-sized cards!

Awesome thanks man, just say when and where and I'll give you the cash for it.
On the emulation of it, I think the production of the official game looks amazing and it is definately a game I can take to teach the kids at school, really helps when it looks good too.
I did agree with others tho, and was sceptical but was looking at getting a copy solo but the delivery alone is a significant increase. With the group buy it's a no brainer.

I was interested in this, but by my calculations if I join in, that will actually drive the price up. [($202 + $45 x 4) / 9 = $42.44]. If there was a 10th person interested, in which case it could be ordered in 2 sets of 5, this would be cheaper again (weirdly). So I'll wait to see if a 10th person volunteers.

Respectfully, you are mistaken, sir. I believe you have mixed a USD cost (for the 5 game price) with a CAD cost (for the additional games). In fact, by being the 9th person in the Santorini Cabal you will in fact reduce the cost per person by 63 Canadian cents.
5 copies are available for 270 CAD plus 45 CAD per additional copy. So while 8 copies works out at 50.63 CAD each, 9 copies would cost us 50.00 CAD each.
Are you in?

Indeed, that is exactly what I did! Who told the Canadians they could call their currency dollars? It totally confuses things. They should be called "cabucks".
Yes, I'm in, thanks. Just let me know when you work out exactly how much it costs with conversion and when you want the money. I can afford it because I still haven't bought Rokoko

It funded!
As you might expect, the bank carefully considered the CAD/GBP exchange rate, looking for the rate most favourable to them, added their own fiddle factor and charged us £250.35. This works out as £27.82 each (or rather £27.816666 each but I'll take the extra 1/3p each as a handling fee

Bargain. Thanks for taking the big initial hit to your finances, Paul. I'll pass on my payment as soon as I can; hopefully I will be attending a SBGC gathering in the next couple weeks.

Everyone has paid up and the backerkit has been completed. Now we just have to wait...
With so many of you suggesting I "keep the change" when passing me your portion of the pledge I find myself with around £8 more than I should. Rather than taking this as my fulfillment fee I will have a look around at the expo for a fun filler game that I can purchase for the club. Everyone's a winner!

Hey guys! I may have been a little, um, infrequent with Santorini updates, but here's one... Fulfillment starts tomorrow!
I'm not sure of leadtimes, but we should have our grubby little mitts on it within a couple of weeks.

I have 9 copies of Santorini sitting in my man cave. Are any of the pledgers definitely coming along tomorrow night? Happy to lug the games to the Uni Arms, but don't want to bring any that are not necessary.
