Meanwhile, in the non-Scythe corner, I'll have Shakespeare, Priests of Ra, La Granja, The Grizzled and probably a few other nice things.

I'll have Carcassonne: Die Burg, Ravens of Thri Sahashri, and Glen More (in German)
2 of those are 2 player only though
EDIT: my pnp copy of The Thing hasn't seen a run out in a while either, so I'll probably bring that.
EDIT EDIT: I've not brought this, but maybe next week
Also, is it Red Deer Sunday?

Re: Tuesday 2nd August
I'd like to play Mysterium, I missed it the last few times it was played. I'd also like to play Priests of Ra Tom!

I can bring my copy of Tajemnicze Domotswo. Or if you want to play the newer, slightly different, English version, I think PaulG's copy is at the club, if you ask nicely he might let you play it.

I fancy a bit of La Granja if you decided to play it!

Re: Tuesday 2nd August
Yeah, liked it. Intuitive player board, like Eclipse but simpler. The whole game is simpler than I expected, actually, more Blood Rage than Clash of Cultures. Turns move briskly, and have a nice weight to them: not too many possibilities to figure out, but you make some nice progress each turn. Your options are quite limited, actually: usually one of three broad options and a few details. But it doesn't feel like playing on autopilot to get to where you want, partly because the mix of free actions and paid actions for each of these options, and upgrades that mix up the possibilities of your actions, just makes each turn a little more interesting: work out your turns so you can do as many of the paid extra actions as possible, and also make some longer term decisions with the upgrades and such.
Seems limited in how to score points (score each aspect only once, fighting only twice), so doesn't seem like the sort of game where you will get big crazy plays. I also wonder how much depth it has to keep it interesting after 20 plays. But, hey, I lost by almost 50 points, so what do I know.
